Periodically, IPI sponsors or cosponsors special conferences on topics of current interest. These conferences are open to all; participants do not need to be enrolled in an IPI training program to attend.
Past Conferences International Conference on Prejudice and Conflict, December 2005, in Salt Lake City A conference designed to explore the malignancies of prejudice on individual, group, national and societal levels. Presenters included Salman Akhtar, George Awad, Ira Brenner, Peter Fonagy, James Gilligan, Forrest Hamer, Anna Higgitt, David Knowlton, Hanna Mann-Shalvi, Henry Parent, James Poulton, Nadia Ramzy, David Scharff, Jill Scharff, Carlo Strenger, Shashi Tharoor, Stuart Twemlow, Hans-Jurgen Wirth, and Elizabeth Young-Bruehl 2nd International Conference on Psychoanalytic Couple and Family Therapy in Montreal. This conference focused on the Transgenerational in psychoanalytic couple and family theories. Presenters included clinicians and researchers from around the world.
